Vultures at roost

Asian White Backed Vultures at roost

(Gyps Bengalensis)

Vulture Culture

  • The Lammergier, sometimes known as the Bearded Vulture smashes bones onto rocks by dropping them from a great height to get to the bone marrow inside.
  • The largest and most magnificent of Nepal's Vultures, the Lammergier is very elusive and will rarely appear alongside your glider unlike the popular and very gregarious Eurasian Griffon Vulture who can opten be seen riding your leading edge.
