Parahawking is essentially paragliding and interacting with a trained bird of prey in it's own natural environment. It was developed and pioneered in 2001 in Pokhara by Scott Mason. By combining paragliding with the ancient art of falconry, we have trained birds of prey to fly with us and guide us through the sky as we fly.
IN THE AIR
We fly with Kevin or Bob our two world famous Egyptian Vultures. They will guide us to the best thermals, soar with us as we climb above the mountains then come and land on YOUR hand many times during the flight. We'll take pictures and movie of the flight from our on-board cameras for you to take away. A totally unique and unforgettable experience.
ON THE GROUND
On landing, our highly trained staff will educate you on Vulture Conservation and how by flying with us you have directly helped to save Nepal's vultures from extinction. If Paragliding was on your bucket list then Parahawking will fulfill all your dreams, a truly unique once in a life time experience not to be missed.
Parahawking has been featured on the BBC, Nat Geo, Discovery Channel, ABC News and is recommended by the Lonely Planet as one of Pokhara's highlights.
The Parahawking Tandem Experience is RANKED #1 ACTIVITY IN POKHARA ON TRIP ADVISOR. Hailed as the "must do" activity and is sure to be the highlight of your trip to Nepal.
