Day 1 - Arrive at Maya Devi Village (Check in 12 pm)
From your very own traditional Gurung style round lodge at Maya Devi Village, put your feet up and relax in the beautiful surroundings. Enjoy a beverage on the veranda of your own hut, watch the Paragliders coming in to land and enjoy the magnificent views of lake Phewa as the sun disappears behind the mountains in the distance.

Day 2 - AM: Falconry Lessons - PM: Parahawking Tandem Flight
During your falconry lesson with our highly trained bird trainers, you'll learn the basic fundamentals of training birds of prey including, bird handling, basic training and equipment skills. Then we'll exercise our birds out in the fields in front of the lake where they will fly to you for a reward. A great opportunity to get a feel for handling the birds and to get some fantastic pictures.

After lunch we'll start preparing for your Parahawking tandem flight. We'll head up to the take off site with one of our specially trained Egyptian Vultures. Once prepared we take to the skies accompanied by our feathered friend who will fly with us and even guide us to the best thermal updrafts. You'll be overwhelmed at the feeling of sharing the sky with trained bird of prey and to be a pat of their world. But that's not all, you'll also get to call the bird to your gloved hand and feed them during the flight. Now that's something you can't do everyday. We then land right outside Maya Devi, the home and birth place of Parahawking.... you can then marvel at the hundreds of photos and video* that we take during your flight.

 

Day 3 - AM: Depart from Maya Devi Village (Check out 11am)

The accommodation comprises of a detached round lodge split onto two floors. The ground floor features an outdoor sun veranda, inside living area and attached bathroom, the second floor features the bedroom with 1 double bed and views over looking the lake. Each lodge has 24 hour hot water, battery backup power and free wireless internet.

Day 3 - AM: Parahawking Tandem Adventure Flight
You'll wake up once again to the beautiful view of the lake. After breakfast we'll head up the mountain by car for your second Parahawking Tandem flight. You'll know the drill by now and with any luck the morning sun will be lighting up the Annapurna mountain range. We'll fly with our second Parahawking Egyptian Vulture this time, he'll will lead the way, interacting with us and we climb in the thermals and cruise gently over the calm waters of the lake below. Remember to smile as he lands on your arm for a quick in flight snack as we'll be taking pictures and movies.

Once again we land at the outside Maya Devi. You can then spend the rest of the day simply relaxing on your own veranda or you can take in more adventure activities such as kayaking on the lake. Either way, there is no better place to spend your precious time in Pokhara than at Maya Devi Village.

As if flying with our own trained birds of prey wasn't enough, Pokhara is one of the worlds premier destinations for paragliding with the worlds largest raptors. There is every possibility that we will also share the sky with Himalayan Griffon Vultures, White Backed Vultures, Red Headed Vultures, Cinerious Vultures, Egyptian Vultures plus Steppe Eagles, Bonellis Eagles, Black Eagles and even Peregrine Falcons.

This is one experience that you are unlikely to forget.
