Gin, Parahawking's main sponsor has released the long awaiting new Tandem, The Safari. Gin are describing it as "Our easiest, best-performing tandem. Ever" and also say "Our new generation tandem has everything the professional could wish for: the easiest ever take-off and landing with the performance and handling of a solo wing"
This is very exciting news for us as Tandem flying is a huge part of Parahawking of which "Share the sky" is our mantra. I have just taken delivery of my Safari from Gin, although I haven't flown it yet. It's still safely packed away in the UK while myself and Anita eagerly await the imminent birth of our first child in Nepal.
Needless to say, i have a few new toys to occupy me this summer. I can't wait! I'll be giving a full review of the wing and my experiences with it in the coming months.
For a full run down on the Safari spec, photos, colours etc, go to the Gin website:

In a few short years, Parahawking has gone from a small personal project to a world wide phenomenon. As an activity, it's exciting, unique and innovative but more so, it's become an effective means of promoting bird of prey conservation issues through raising awareness and funds. How else can you share the sky and interact with a bird of prey in it's own environment? Parahawking has made this a reality and for many people, their dreams come true...
This is a picture of Don on his 80's birthday, after the flight he told me that it was quite possibly the best thing he'd ever done!
